Playground awaits inspection
Following the closure of the School Lane playground during the Coronavirus pandemic, Eaton Bray Parish Council have been notified that the playground can re-open only once an inspection can be made by RoSPA officials to check safety.
EBPC booked the inspection at the beginning of August when it was made aware that an inspection would be required but have only just been notified that the inspection has been carried out (7th September).
During the inspection, the officer identified a number of items of play equipment needed repair and that the playground is to remain closed until they can be repaired.
EBPC have requested a quotation by the grounds maintenance company for the repair work which will be booked in once the cost can be agreed.
The Council are also exploring the idea of replacing many of the play equipment in due course to give it a refreshed and new experience for the local kids. More news will be published in the fullness of time.
